We're here for families and loved ones, and we stand with anyone dealing with mental health challenges. You’ve probably heard that African saying, "It takes a village to raise a child." At CSMFE, we believe it also takes a caring, united community to find the right support for each unique mental health situation.

It's all about open, honest conversations—ones led by the person going through it, alongside their family, friends, and professionals from healthcare, education, and even the police. Everyone brings their own knowledge and perspective to the table, so we can come up with solutions that really work for everyone involved.

Mission

Since 1981, the Carrefour en santé mentale pour les familles et l’entourage (CSMFE) has been all about bringing together and supporting families and loved ones of people living with mental health issues. Through its activities, CSMFE helps its members grow their personal and collective power to take action, and it backs the ideas and projects they come up with.

CSMFE is an independent, community-based organization. We’re active in the Longueuil borough and the Marguerite-D’Youville regional county.
