Families and those around them are always at the heart of our interventions

Families and those around them are always at the heart of our interventions

WE ARE READY!

Since 2020, during our team meetings at the CSMFE, stakeholders have emphasized that mental health and substance abuse issues are on the rise. This information is confirmed by all our partners during our meetings with various authorities.

It is important to note that mental health intervention teams refuse to offer services if a concurrent substance abuse issue is present, and vice versa for substance abuse intervention teams. The support that families and loved ones want to provide to their loved ones experiencing dual issues is therefore even more difficult during times of crisis.

This new project, funded by APPUI for three years, will first allow our stakeholder to develop a profile of the mental health and substance abuse stakeholders with whom a partnership could be developed. Subsequently, we will need to co-construct a support program with the various mental health and substance abuse partners, keeping families and loved ones at the heart of the interventions.

Several collaborators have already expressed interest in this collaborative project. The CSMFE team and its Board of Directors are very proud of this funding and understand the significant work involved in this project.
